Discussin on literary topics:
point of view/character.
As I read each part I got different views, for me I mostly connected at first with the Mother and Bridegroom. I connected with them, because they were the first characters I met and I liked them from the start. As the story went on I felt there pain and I thought that whatever was being said from them was reliable. The author created a link right away to the reader by learning about the Mother and the Bridegroom's past early in the story, it made me seem like I have known them for a long time. Because I created a connection to them from the start I really hated the Bride and Leonardo, because I knew that they were no good. I finished the book today and I hate the Bride!!
But just as when you read the parts of the actors in the play you start feeling connected to them too. So as the play went along, I did feel a bit of sadness as well as hate for the Bride. I did not rely on what she said, because she was a liar to me for getting married and then running away with Leonardo. The Bride is presented as a total slut who should have died in the end, because she should have not alive! In my opinion, Lorca from the beginning used sympathy for the Bridegroom's family to create anger later on for the Bride and her horrible decisions.
